Warner Kenyon Delivering Mail and Supplies during the 1937 Flood

This photograph shows Warner Kenyon with one of the bags of mail and supplies he brought in and out of Ashland during the 1937 Flood.  Other bags are stowed in the front seat of the Taylor J-2 Cub.  To maintain correct equilibrium, my father flew the aircraft from the back seat.  Since Ashland Airport was under 50 feet of water, my father and two other local pilots used one of the fairways at Bellefonte Country Club as their runway. This is my favorite photograph of my father.
